Kelsy Karter is a throwback to when rock ‘n’ roll was enjoyable. Stylistically, her music is brash and anthemic, someplace between ’70s enviornment rock and ’80s pop steel.

Aesthetically, Karter and her band the Heroines match the half. Lengthy messy hair, tight pants, and black leather-based assist create an expertise that feels lifted from the Sundown Strip’s heyday.

Because the band excursions the world and releases music just like the latest energy ballad “Lodge Flamingo,” they hold the momentum going for rock’s resurgence. Their new album, Love Made Me Do It, is out Jan. 31.
